NASA Astronotları New York'taki Öğrencilerin Sorularını Yanıtlayacak

New York students will have the opportunity to hear from NASA astronauts Jack Hathaway and Chris Williams as they respond to prerecorded questions about science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) from the International Space Station. The Earth-to-space call is scheduled to start at 12:05 p.m. EDT on Wednesday, March 11, and will be streamed live on NASA's Learn With NASA YouTube channel.

NASA astronaut Chris Williams is seen in the Destiny laboratory module aboard the International Space Station, wearing a red shirt and black shorts with three white stripes. He is smiling at the camera while holding a device in his left hand, with blank computer screens in front of him. Students in New York will have the opportunity to interact with NASA astronauts Jack Hathaway and Chris Williams, who will respond to prerecorded STEM questions from space. This Earth-to-space call is scheduled for 12:05 p.m. EDT on Wednesday, March 11, and will be streamed live on NASA's Learn With NASA YouTube channel. The event, hosted by the Queens Borough Public Library in Jamaica, New York, is aimed at students in grades K-12 and community members. It seeks to enhance understanding of space exploration and encourage young people to consider careers in STEM fields. Media representatives wishing to cover the event must RSVP by 5 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, March 10, to Ewa Kern-Jedrychowska at 917-702-0016 or via email at Ewa.KernJedrychowska@queenslibrary.org, or to Elisabeth deBourbon at 917-650-3815 or Elisabeth.deBourbon@queenslibrary.org. For over 25 years, astronauts have lived and worked continuously aboard the space station, conducting scientific research and developing technologies for future exploration beyond Earth. They maintain communication with NASA's Mission Control Center in Houston around the clock through the Space Communications and Navigation (SCaN) Near Space Network. Research conducted on the space station benefits life on Earth and supports future deep space missions. As part of NASA's Artemis program, the agency plans to send astronauts to the Moon to prepare for human exploration of Mars, fostering a new era of innovation and discovery.
